How do I use the Wordpress contact plugin?

The Sellsy Wordpress plugin allows you to easily add a contact form into your Wordpress website.

  1. Download the plugin here.
  2. Unzip the folder on your computer and download the plugin file (wp_sellsy) in the plugins folder of your Wordpress installation.
  3. In the plugins management page of your Wordpress installation, activate the plugin.

How do I set up the plugin?

  1. First, the API Sellsy Keys, qui allow for connection with the plugin. In order to do this, you need to Log log in to your account Sellsy. Then, click on Settings and API Management and tokens.
  2. Create an app and create all the keys.
  3. In the plugin parameters window in your Wordpress website, copy your keys.

You can define whether you want the form to create a prospect, or a prospect attached to a new opportunity.

If you choose to create one attached to an opportunity, there will be a link to the first step of your default pipeline.

The copy feature will allow you to automatically send a copy of the contacts you created to any address you choose.

Then you can indicate the origin of your opportunity. NOTE: this origin has to be created in your Sellsy account beforehand.

The jQuery validation is a validation on your customer side. It will check, for example, that the email address or phone number you entered is valid. When the data is entered into Sellsy, a second validation is done on the server side (with the API).

  • If you enable the jQuery validation, an error message Will Be Displayed Before the form is sent.
  • If you choose to disable it, an error message Will Be Displayed After the form is sent.

How do I display the form on my Wordpress website?

You can display the form on every page or section of your website by inserting 'wpsellsy' into the page body.

If you wish to use the form as a widget, you can, for example, use the WordPress widget manager to spot it in your sidebar.
